Bruno Lapa voted USL Championship Player of the Week
Game-winning goals in consecutive games will do that
After scoring the winning strike in both Legion games this week, Bruno Lapa was announced today as the USL Championship Player of the Week. It wasn’t even close – he got 53% of the ballot. The next nearest vote-getter was Pittsburgh’s Alex Dixon at 16%.
No other Three Sparks were selected for Team of the Week, either starting or on the bench. Solid performances by Anderson Asiedu and Jonny Dean probably deserved nods, but that just goes to show you how strong the Championship’s player pool is becoming.
Congrats to Bruno!
