Game Report: Barnsley 1-1 Birmingham CityPoints given up
The Blues conceded an early goal and failed to capitalize on some very good chances, ending the game with an unsatisfying 1-1 draw.
Barnsley took the lead just 6 minutes in on a long range blast by Callun Styles. Lukas Jutkiewicz got the equalizer 18 minutes later after a Barnsley error in the box gave him an opportunity he couldn’t miss.
After that Birmingham controlled the game and eventually racked up 14 shots and 11 chances and an impressive xG of 3.15. That included a late goal line shot for Chuks Aneke and some frustration for Scott Hogan. In the end they couldn’t find the net a second time and had to settle for the one point on the road.
