Game Report: Huddersfield Town 0-0 Birmingham City

More gloom for the Blues

Birmingham City extended its scoreless streak to 6 games, but at least escaped John Smith’s Stadium with a point as the hosts also failed to score in a less than entertaining contest.

The Blues traveled without two key players: Ivan Sanchez has been out around 5 weeks already and Maxime Colin has a Achilles injury that he had tried to play through but no longer can. Those absences leave the team weakened on the wing and the back line. That was no big issue today, as there was little in the way of attacking play to be seen. The teams combined for 15 shots overall and just 3 on goal, and there was precious little penetration into the penalty area by either squad.

The point leaves the Blues stranded in 19th place but with a chance to break their duck[efn_note]Those not familiar with cricket will need to look that up.[/efn_note] at home against 17th place Swansea on Saturday.
