Legion signs midfielder Grayson DupontNeeded support in the middle of the pitch
The Birmingham Legion today announced the signing of former UAB midfielder Grayson Dupont.
Hot on the heels of Eli Crognale’s retirement, the Three Sparks’ midfield is back up to strength. It probably wasn’t much of an issue for the from office; Grayson had been on trial with the Legion in preseason and had impressed (including this correspondent who saw him in action against Memphis in a scrimmage in February).
In addition to working with the team this season, Grayson has prior playing experience with former Legion keeper Ford Parker at UNM and with Bruno Lapa back in high school (and winning a national championship to boot). Overall he should have no problem integrating into the team.
I’d say welcome to the Legion, but of course he’s already here!
